Berlin, Checkpoint Charlie

After our mad but brief cycling session from our hotel to checkpoint Charlie we met up with our friends to visit the museum.

How amazing that so many people escaped this awful conflict in the front of cars, sides of cars, speaker boxes and pull along trolleys. A story of a horrendous political conflict that happened in our life time. Just think, whilst I was young and playing in the fields at home, these Germans where being abused and trapped in Berlin. No wonder a lot of Berlin has been rebuilt as who would want to be reminded of those dark days!

Talking of being rebuilt, off to find some older buildings to admire the architecture.
